Born in Perak, he completed both his basic medical degree and Masters in General Surgery in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2006 and 2015 respectively. He completed his training in Thoracic Surgery in 2022. To date, he has been involved in over 20 publications pertaining to thoracic surgery, including a book chapter on VATS segmentectomy. His forte includes VATS lobectomy for lung cancer, VATS thymectomy, Non-intubated thoracoscopic surgery (NiVATS) and complex chest wall resection and reconstruction. He is a co-investigator in an ongoing trial on lung cancer genomic screening (LC-SCRUM-AP). He currently serves as a committee member in the Evaluation Committee for Thoracic Surgery under the Malaysian Medical Council. He is also a life member of the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA), the Malaysian Thoracic Society (MTS), the Society of Endo-laparoscopic Surgeons of Malaysia (SELSMA), and the South East Asian Thoracic Society. 1.
