Abstract

Submission Guidelines

  1. All abstracts must be submitted by 31st August 2024 through the PENSA 2024 Abstract Submission Portal.
  2. Only registered delegates are able to submit an abstract. Click here to register. 
  3. Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  4. Words and attachment limitation:
    1. Abstract Title–maximum of 30 words in UPPER CASE.
    2. Abstract Text–maximum of 350 words.
  5. The abstract needs to be structured as follows:
    1. Rationale: This section should contain 1-2 sentences that clearly indicate the scientific question of the study and its clinical (or other) importance.
    2. Methods: This section should contain sufficient information to be able to understand the experimental design, the analytical techniques and the statistics used in the study.
    3. Results: This section should contain objective data to answer the scientific question(s).
    4. Conclusions: This section should provide only conclusions of the study directly supported by the results, along with implications for clinical practice, avoiding speculation and over generalisation. Statements such as “the results will be discussed” or “data will be presented and discussed” are not acceptable.
  6. For case report abstracts, please structure them as follows:
    1. Introduction
    2. Case Description
    3. Discussion / Conclusion

Abstract Presentation Guideline

  1. Abstracts may be accepted as a poster display, poster presentation, or oral presentation (Case report abstracts will only be accepted for poster communication).
  2. Selected oral presentations will be nominated for the Young Investigator Award (1 candidate per scientific presentation) and the Best 5 Oral Presentations (without specific ranking).
  3. Posters will be displayed throughout the entire congress.

Poster Display Guideline:

  1. All the accepted poster will be displayed at the poster board located at the poster area.
  2. No presentation required if your abstract accepted as Poster Display.
  3. Format: A0 Size Poster
  4. Layout: Portrait (841 mm x 1189 mm)
  5. Posters should be designed, such that titles, legends, graphs and illustrations can be easily read.
  6. You may use the materials/template below to design your poster.
  7. Please note in order to present your abstract, kindly register and fully paid before 23rd September 2024.

Poster Presentation Guideline:

  1. All the accepted poster will be displayed at the poster board located at the poster area.
  2. Only the selected abstract for a poster presentation will be allocated a presentation slot.
  3. Poster presentation slot – 5 minutes (including 2 minutes Q & A) 
  4. Format: A0 Size Poster
  5. Layout: Portrait (841 mm x 1189 mm)
  6. Posters should be designed, such that titles, legends, graphs and illustrations can be easily read.
  7. You may use the materials/template below to design your poster.
  8. Please note in order to present your abstract, kindly register and fully paid before 23rd September 2024.

Oral Presentation Guideline:

  1. Oral presentation slot – 9 minutes (including 2 mins Q & A)
  2. Format: 16:9 powerpoint slide (ppt or pptx file)
  3. Layout: Landscape (1920 x 1080px)
  4. The presentation must be presented in the English language.
  5. You are advised to adhere strictly to the time allocated to avoid upsetting the scientific programme.
  6. You may use the materials/template below to design your slides.
  7. Please note in order to present your abstract, kindly register and fully paid before 23rd September 2024.

  1. You may use the template/materials to design your poster/presentation slides.
  2. There is no restrictions on the design, but the important information must included in your poster/presentation slides.
  3. Please adhere to the guideline provided above.

Terms & Conditions

  • Poster printing service is ONLY applicable for poster display and poster presentation abstract submitter.
  • Fees will be collected by Anderes Fourdy Events.
  • The cost per poster is RM 80 on or before 7 October 2024.
  • Kindly upload your posters by 7 October 2024.
  • Kindly note that printing is NOT acceptable after 7 October 2024.
