Abstract

Submission Guidelines

  1. All abstracts must be submitted and received by 5 August 2024 through PENSA 2024 Abstract Submission Portal.
  2. Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  3. Words and attachments limitation:
    1. Abstract Title–maximum of 30 words in UPPER CASE.
    2. Abstract Text–maximum of 350 words.
  4. We recommend using word-processing software (for example, Word) for editing your abstract and counting the number of words.
  5. Only ONE table/graph/image can be submitted as a part of abstract. The maximum file size is 1 MB.
  6. The abstract needs to be structured as follows:
    1. Rationale: This section should contain 1-2 sentences that clearly indicate the scientific question of the study and its clinical (or other) importance.
    2. Methods: This section should contain sufficient information to be able to understand the experimental design, the analytical techniques and the statistics used in the study.
    3. Results: This section should contain objective data to answer the scientific question(s).
    4. Conclusions: This section should provide only conclusions of the study directly supported by the results, along with implications for clinical practice, avoiding speculation and over generalization. Statements such as “the results will be discussed” or “data will be presented and discussed” are not acceptable.
  7. For case report abstracts, please structure them as follows:

Abstract Presentation

  1. Abstracts can be accepted either as a poster or oral presentation (Case report abstracts can only be accepted for poster communication).
  2. The Abstract Scientific Committee will select submitted abstracts and determine whether they are accepted for a poster or oral presentation.
  3. Oral presentations; 7 minutes is allocated including 2 minutes of Q & A with the attending judges. Selected oral presentation will be nominated for Young Investigator Award (1 candidate and 1 scientific presentation) and Best 5 oral presentations (with no specific ranking).
  4. Posters should be a single page in portrait Format – A0 Poster. Top 5 posters will be awarded as Best 5 poster presentation.
