She earned her Masters of Science Degree in Clinical Nutrition from the Philippine Women’s University in 2016, and Fellow of Philippine College of Medical Nutrition Physicians (PCMNP) in 2021. She is also a Fellow of the Philippine College of Geriatric Medicine and Philippine Academy of Family Physicians. She is a Past President of the Philippine Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (PhilSPEN) and has served as a council representative to ASPEN, ESPEN and PENSA. She is immediate past Chair of the International Clinical Nutrition Section of ASPEN for 2022-2024 and is the first and only Filipino to be awarded the designation of FASPEN in 2022. At present, she is Treasurer and member of the Board of Trustees of PhilSPEN and Vice President of PCMNP. She is an ESPEN LLL teacher and Peer Reviewer for Clinical Nutrition journal. Dr. Francisco, for the past 15 years, has been the chairman of both the Nutrition Support Team and Weight Management Center of Mary Mediatrix Medical Center in Lipa City, Philippines. She is an active consultant physician of the nutrition support teams of Asian Hospital and St Luke’s Medical Center. She is also the immediate past Chair of the Department of Occupational and Family Medicine in Asian Hospital (2018-2023) and a member of the Palliative Care and Home Care Team of Asian Hospital. Aside from being a clinician, Dr Francisco also serves as the School Directress of Lucban Academy, a Junior and Senior High School with a 77-year-old tradition of academic excellence, creativity, and community spirit. Today, Dr Francisco will discuss Perspectives in Palliative Care and share insights and cultural experiences in the home care setting.
